Citi : Speakers Trust - Financially Speaking

Module Description:
The Financially Speaking programme sponsored by Citi, combines financial literacy with the learning of public speaking skills. Throughout the day, participants learn top money tips and responsible ways to make and save money. Participants play an interactive ‘Marketplace’ game to help them better understand money management and decisions. At the end of the day they deliver a finance-themed speech, putting their new found skills into practice! Being able to communicate effectively and understand financial issues equips participants with crucial skills for all aspects of life and work.
Company Profile:
Speakers Trust delivers public speaking and communication skills training to adults and young people in the non-profit sector. We believe that everybody should be given the tools to Speak Up! and Speak Out! about what they’re passionate about. Our workshops are fast, fun and interactive – helping participants to build confidence and self-esteem whilst learning practical public speaking techniques.
'This module taught me that money is far more important than I realised. It also helped me to develop my public speaking and I think I noticed a big improvement in myself.' Student from Waltham Forest College
'As a college, we are grateful to have the opportunity to introduce our students to the real world. The Rep London modules enable us and our students to apply theory in a practical environment. It is great to see our students engaging and learning through innovative activities.' Omur Derelikoylu, teacher from Waltham Forest College
'I thought this was a great experience- lovely to be in a room with such enthusiastic and bright people.' Emma Dean, employee volunteer from Citi
