Rep London is unique as it is giving young people from East London a competitive edge; the modules being delivered by companies are providing transparent, transferable skills which are very appealing to schools. The project opens doors to reputable companies and their training materials partnered with the chance to put skills into practice; this project will look impressive on a young CV. The job market has changed with constant technical advancements and evolving industries that require developed skills and awareness. Education has responded by introducing Diplomas and more skills based vocational learning. Schools are looking for more ways to connect in skills based projects and Rep London offers exactly that.
All modules are delivered free of charge via employee volunteering as part of our member companies robust commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. Delivering modules develops employees skills such as leadership, team working and presentation skills. Volunteering also impacts on employee morale.
“Feedback from employee volunteers who have participated in volunteering programmes demonstrates that involvement in community projects (be they of a physical or intellectual nature) improves employee morale, provides innovative thinking, challenges methods of current practice and provides excellent cross business networking opportunities.” Nick Wright, Managing Director, UBS.
