UBS offer a module that concentrates on building team working skills. The module involved two main activities, the first encourages the students to think about values and ethics and then make decisions as a team. The second involves using team work to build a balloon couch. All employers are keen to recruit employees who are able to co-operate, solve problems and work in teams. Teamwork involves working confidently within a group, contributing your own ideas effectively, taking a share of the responsibility, being assertive - rather than passive or aggressive, accepting and learning from constructive criticism and giving positive, constructive feedback to others.
Company Profile:
UBS is a client-focused financial services firm that offers a combination of wealth management, asset management and investment banking services on a global and regional basis. For over 20 years, UBS has consistently sought to address the economic and social deprivation of the City of London’s disadvantaged neighbouring boroughs, through a combination of educational and regenerative initiatives and partnerships. We have aimed to do so in a measurable and sustainable fashion, employing both financial and wider corporate resources, and always recognising that employees are our best possible agents to help to effect change.
