As well as being a lot of fun, volunteering at a One Movement festival is a great chance for you to use the skills learned at the modules – from leadership to teamwork to communication – and will be a fantastic addition to your CV and Rep London certificate.
Activators
As an activator you will be encouraging the young people to try out a new sport. The role is to enthuse and encourage wide participation whilst ensuring all areas are busy. There will also be an opportunity to gather feedback from participants.

Competition Coordinators
This involves assisting with festival competitions and competitive tournaments, including refereeing and umpiring.
Registration Coordinators
On registration you will be greeting attendees, coordinating registration form completion, recording medical information, distributing lanyards and festival information and assisting with feedback collection.
Mentoring
As a mentor you will be working closely with sports clubs, providing support and advice.
We ask mentors and mentees to make an initial commitment of six months and we would expect both parties to maintain monthly contact during the six months to ensure that a real connection is developed between mentee and mentor.
Delivering Training Workshops
As a volunteer you will be delivering workshops to sports clubs from prepared materials. Delivery time is two hours per workshop and volunteers are asked to deliver four workshops over a year, so just one day’s commitment is needed. By giving your time and expertise you could help bring about positive change to sports clubs, both in the lead up to and beyond the 2012 Games.
