London Ambassadors Application

Volunteering

As well as developing key skills, Rep London also encourages all young people to volunteer. There are a number of different opportunities including at a number of festivals and events, some during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Rep London will be tendering for Young Games Makers, the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games’ volunteering programme for young people. Already, Rep London has managed to secure 18 spaces for Rep London participants to volunteer at the Beach Volleyball Test Event at Horse Guards Parade this summer 2011. Furthermore, you can volunteer at a number of ELBA events, including One Movement and CREATE. For more information about these opportunities and how to volunteer, please click on the links below.

ELBA is working in partnership with London Ambassadors to offer 200 Rep London young people the opportunity to volunteer as London Ambassadors. The Mayor’s volunteering scheme, London Ambassadors will have 8,000 volunteers located across 40 sites around London. The ‘pod’ manned by Rep London young people will be based in Spitalfields Market in Tower Hamlets. At this prime location, students will be able to provide information about the Games, as well as recommend the best places to eat, drink and play in East London. Rep London volunteers will need to commit to 6 consecutive days, with each shift lasting 5 hours. The pod will be operational from 20 July to 12 August and 29 August to 9 September.
